Advent Ghana is an Internet ministry initiated by Pastor Francis Tuffour to support the vision and mission of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ghana. The mission of the site is to offer web-based services for Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ghana. Advent Ghana provides assistance to Adventist Churches and organizations in Ghana to have their own domain names. It offers effective consultancy services to help the church on Internet technology. It is a source for news on Adventists in Ghana and abroad. The site also serves as a platform to showcase Adventist projects like schools, church buildings, hospitals, media centers and evangelistic programs.
From its very beginning, the Seventh-day Adventists in Ghana have found the importance of using media in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Francis I.U. Dolphijn was the first person to become Adventist in Ghana; he got converted through print medium in January 1888. He got Adventist pamphlet from a ship captain at Apam, in Central Region of Ghana. After his conversion he requested for more Adventist literature from the Church headquarters in Michigan, USA to share with others.
In 1970s the Church started radio ministry on Ghana Radio with a weekly 30 minutes religious broadcasting and featured the great preachers like H.V.A. Kuma, C.B.Mensah and G.S. Aidoo. Today the Church runs over 20 radio programs in Ghana. In 2001 the Church started a regular Television program called Encounter with Truth with a nation-wide coverage. There are over half-a-million Adventists in Ghana today.
The Adventist Ghana website was created by: Mark Bishop, Alex Oliver Perez and Stephen Haim. Their technical expertise and countless volunteered hours made the site what it is today.

It is against this background that this Internet ministry is poised to increase Adventist Church in Ghana’s web presence and to consolidate the gains of conventional media.
